Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cajun Butter Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Stir in the Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant, then remove from heat.

  2. 2

    Blacken the Salmon

Generously coat both sides of the salmon filet with the Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned salmon and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until blackened and cooked through, basting with the Cajun butter sauce.

  3. 3

    Broil Option

Alternatively, preheat the broiler. Place the seasoned salmon on a broiler-safe pan and broil for 6-8 minutes, brushing with Cajun butter sauce halfway through, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the heat, drizzle with additional Cajun butter sauce, and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
