Ribeye Steak

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This allows for even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper. Rub the steak with olive oil to ensure even cooking and flavor.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a cast-iron skillet over high heat. If using a skillet, add a little olive oil to the pan.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the ribeye steak on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it. Flip the steak and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Optional Flavoring

If desired, add crushed garlic cloves and a sprig of fresh rosemary to the skillet during the last minute of cooking for added flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill or skillet and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the ribeye against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy your perfectly cooked ribeye steak!
