Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare Chicken

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Tenderize the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Dredging Station

Set up a dredging station with three shallow plates: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Coat Chicken

Coat each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

    Fry Chicken

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  5. 5

    Assemble Dish

In a baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom. Place fried chicken on top, then cover with the remaining marinara sauce.

  6. 6

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over each chicken breast.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  8. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired, then serve hot.
