PASTA

Method

PASTA

  1. 1

    Cook the Penne

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté Aromatics

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 3

    Add Sundried Tomatoes

Stir in the chopped sundried tomatoes and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are heated through.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Marinara Sauce

Pour in the marinara sauce and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

  5. 5

    Add Vodka

Carefully add the vodka to the skillet. Allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate and the flavors to meld.

  6. 6

    Stir in Cream

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, mixing until the sauce is well combined and creamy.

  7. 7

    Combine Pasta with Sauce

Add the cooked penne pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the pasta through.

  8. 8

    Finish with Cheese and Basil

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.

  9. 9

    Serve

Serve the Penne Vodka hot, garnished with additional basil and Parmesan cheese if desired.
