Taco

Stir in taco seasoning and follow package instructions, usually adding water and simmering until thickened.

While the beef is cooking, warm the taco shells in the oven according to package instructions.

Fill each taco shell with seasoned beef and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and salsa.

Add chopped cilantro and sliced jalapeños to taste.

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat, add flour and salt, and stir until a dough forms.

Prepare the dough

Allow the dough to cool slightly, then add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated and the dough is smooth.

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Carefully pipe strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them to your desired length.

Fry the churros until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

In a bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Roll the fried churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are still warm.

Cut the corn tortillas into triangle shapes.

Prepare the Tortillas

Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Fry the tortilla triangles in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

Sprinkle salt over the warm chips while they are still hot.

In a bowl, mix the cooked meat with shredded cheese. You can also add some salsa or pico de gallo for extra flavor.

Prepare the filling

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter over medium heat.

Heat the pan

Place one tortilla in the skillet. Spread the meat and cheese mixture evenly over half of the tortilla. Fold the other half over to create a half-moon shape.

Assemble the quesadilla

Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese is melting. Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.

Remove the cooked quesadilla from the skillet and repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and filling.

Cut the quesadillas into wedges and serve with sour cream and extra salsa or pico de gallo on the side. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.

In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or chicken. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add taco seasoning to the cooked meat. Stir in 2/3 cup of water and simmer until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.

While the meat is simmering, warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

Warm the Tortillas

On each tortilla, spoon a portion of the seasoned meat. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.
