Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Cut the artichoke hearts into quarters if they are whole. Mince the garlic cloves and chop the fresh parsley.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the salmon.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 4

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the fillets are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  3. 5

    Arrange in Baking Dish

In a baking dish, arrange the marinated salmon fillets. Spread the artichoke hearts around the fillets and pour any remaining marinade over the top.

  4. 6

    Bake the Salmon

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  5. 7

    Add Finishing Touches

If using, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the salmon and artichokes in the last 5 minutes of baking for a delicious crust.

  6. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the dish from the oven, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve warm.
