Method

Prepare the Croutons

  1. 1

    Make the Croutons

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the French bread into small cubes, approximately 1 inch in size. In a bowl, combine the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the bread is evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning once halfway through. Remove from oven and let cool.

Make the Dressing

  1. 3

    Combine the Dressing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.

  2. 4

    Add Parmesan Cheese

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully incorporated. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 5

    Prepare the Salad Base

Wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place the lettuce in a large salad bowl.

  2. 6

    Add Cheese and Croutons

Sprinkle the Asiago cheese over the romaine lettuce. Add the cooled croutons on top.

  3. 7

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad. Toss gently to combine all ingredients, ensuring the lettuce is well coated with the dressing.
