Prepare the Shrimp
If using shrimp, peel and devein them. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.

Prepare the Snails (Optional)
If using canned snails, drain and rinse them under cold water. Set aside.
Garlic Butter Mixture

Melt the Butter
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Be careful not to let it brown.

Add Garlic
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the melted butter. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Incorporate Parsley
Chop the fresh parsley and add it to the garlic butter mixture. Stir and remove from heat.
Assembly and Cooking

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Baking Dish
Grease a baking dish with olive oil.

Add Shrimp or Snails
Arrange the shrimp or snails (if using) in the baking dish, making sure they are evenly distributed.

Top with Cheese
Sprinkle the provolone cheese evenly over the top of the shrimp or snails.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
