Method

Chicken Tenders

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into strips about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In one bowl, place the flour mixed with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In a second bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

  4. 4

    Fry the Chicken

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken tenders in batches until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

French Fries

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips for frying.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, and sprinkle with salt.

Biscuits

  1. 8

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

  2. 9

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 10

    Cut in Butter

Cut the stick of butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. 11

    Add Milk

Add the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 12

    Shape and Bake

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, pat down to about 1 inch thick, and cut into rounds. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Side Dish (optional)

  1. 13

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and trim the green beans and carrots.

  2. 14

    Steam or Boil

Steam or boil the vegetables until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
