Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of boiling salted water, add the angel hair pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

Shrimp Scampi Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the jumbo shrimp and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 3

    Prepare the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the white wine, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly. Stir in the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter until melted and combined.

  3. 4

    Combine Shrimp and Sauce

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, add the chopped parsley, and stir to combine. If the sauce is too thick, use some reserved pasta water to achieve your desired consistency. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper as needed.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve the Dish

Toss the cooked angel hair pasta with the shrimp scampi sauce until well coated. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
