Pasta

Chicken or Shrimp

Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Fettuccine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Protein Preparation

  1. 2

    Cook the Chicken or Shrimp

If using chicken, season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing. If using shrimp, add shrimp directly to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Alfredo Sauce

In the same skillet used for the chicken or shrimp, melt the remaining butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and black pepper.

Combine and Serve

  1. 4

    Mix Everything Together

Add the drained fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly. If using sliced chicken, add it back to the skillet and toss again. If using shrimp, add the shrimp and gently mix.

  2. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Serve the Fettuccine Alfredo hot, garnished with chopped parsley. Enjoy your delicious meal!
