Preparing the Chicken

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bread the Chicken
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour mixed with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmesan cheese.

Coat the Chicken
Dip each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess. Then, dip in eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.

Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Bake the Chicken
Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over each piece and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt to the water for flavor.

Cook the Pasta
Add angel hair pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Assembling the Dish

Plate the Pasta
Place a serving of cooked angel hair pasta on each plate.

Top with Chicken
Carefully place a piece of the baked chicken on top of the pasta.

Spoon additional marinara sauce over the chicken and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
