Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2
Sauté Spinach
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 3
Cook Ground Beef
In the same skillet, add ground beef and cook over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and black pepper. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- 4
Combine Filling Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, sautéed spinach, ricotta cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Assembly
- 5
Stuff the Cannelloni
Using a piping bag or a small spoon, carefully fill each cannelloni tube with the beef and spinach filling. Place the filled cannelloni in a single layer in a greased baking dish.
- 6
Prepare the Sauce
In a bowl, combine marinara sauce, dried oregano, and dried basil. Pour half of the sauce over the stuffed cannelloni, ensuring they are coated.
- 7
Add Cheese
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the cannelloni.
Baking
- 8
Bake the Cannelloni
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 9
Serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious cannelloni!
