Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the Coffee
Brew a strong cup of espresso and let it cool. If desired, mix in coffee liqueur for added flavor.
- 2
Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- 3
Mix the Mascarpone
In another bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
- 5
Soak the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- 6
Layer the Tiramisu
In a serving dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
- 7
Chill the Dessert
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 8
Serve
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and slice into portions.
