Method
Doughnuts Preparation
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, mix ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine and Form Dough
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined. Do not overmix.
Heat Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry Doughnuts
Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Drain and Cool
Remove doughnuts from oil and drain on paper towels. Let cool slightly.

Cook Bacon
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place bacon strips on a baking sheet. Brush with maple syrup and sprinkle brown sugar on top.
Bake Bacon
Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and caramelized. Let cool and chop into small pieces.

In a bowl, whip heavy cream and maple syrup until soft peaks form.
