Cooking Ingredients
Method
Preparation of Balsamic Reduction
- 1
Make the Balsamic Reduction
In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until it thickens and reduces by half. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Once done, remove from heat and let cool.
Wrapping and Cooking
- 2
Wrap Mozzarella with Prosciutto
Take each fresh mozzarella ball and wrap it with a slice of prosciutto, making sure to cover it completely. Repeat for all mozzarella balls.
- 3
Pan-Seer the Wrapped Mozzarella
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella balls to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the prosciutto is crispy and the mozzarella is slightly melted. Season with salt and black pepper while cooking.
Serving
- 4
Serve the Dish
Once cooked, carefully remove the prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella from the skillet and place them on a serving platter. Drizzle the balsamic reduction over the top and serve immediately.
