Chicken Tenders
Ranch Dressing
Method
Preparing Chicken Tenders
- 1
Cut and Prepare Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow dishes, place flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and bread crumbs mixed with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder in the third.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into flour, coating completely. Shake off excess, then dip into beaten eggs. Finally, coat with the bread crumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Using a slotted spoon, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Making Ranch Dressing
- 7
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
- 8
Chill
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
