Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash all the fruits thoroughly. Slice the oranges, lemons, limes, and peaches into thin wedges or pieces. If using strawberries, slice them in half or quarters depending on their size. Place all the prepared fruits into a large pitcher or carafe.

  2. 2

    Mix the Liquids

In a separate bowl or pitcher, combine the red or white wine, brandy, orange juice, and simple syrup. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the liquid mixture over the prepared fruits in the pitcher. Add the soda water or lemon-lime soda to the mixture. Stir gently to combine, ensuring the fruits are coated with the liquid.

Infusion

  1. 4

    Let it Infuse

Add a cinnamon stick to the pitcher for added flavor. Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the sangria to infuse for at least 2 hours, or overnight for a more robust flavor.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serve the Sangria

Remove the pitcher from the refrigerator. Give the sangria a gentle stir before serving. Pour into glasses filled with ice, making sure to include some of the fruit pieces in each glass. Garnish with additional fresh fruit if desired.
