Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon zest, minced garlic, rosemary leaves, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the tomahawk steak in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450-500°F). If using charcoal, prepare the coals for direct grilling.

  4. 4

    Grill the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Place the steak on the grill and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve with your favorite sides, drizzling some of the leftover marinade on top if desired.
