Crabcake Mixture

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crabcake Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lump crabmeat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, green onions, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Gently fold the ingredients together, taking care not to break up the crab too much.

  2. 2

    Form the Crabcakes

Once the mixture is well combined, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help the mixture firm up. After chilling, form the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter.

  3. 3

    Cook the Crabcakes

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the crabcakes, cooking in batches if necessary. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  4. 4

    Serve

Once cooked, transfer the crabcakes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions or your favorite sauce.
