Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the Coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool to room temperature.
- 2
Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- 3
Mix Mascarpone
In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese with the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (if using). Mix until smooth.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
- 5
Soak Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- 6
Layer the Dessert
In a rectangular dish, arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
- 7
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
