Apple Strudel

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Apple Filling
In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins. Mix well and set aside.

Assemble the Strudel
On a floured surface, roll out one puff pastry sheet. Place half of the apple mixture along one edge of the pastry. Roll it up tightly, sealing the edges with the beaten egg. Repeat with the second pastry sheet and remaining apple mixture.

Bake the Strudel
Place the rolled strudels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Let the strudels cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream on top.
