Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In the dry ingredients, make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted unsalted butter, and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Topping Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Cinnamon Sugar

In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.

  2. 7

    Melt Butter

Melt the remaining unsalted butter in a small saucepan or microwave and set aside for later use.

Assembly & Baking

  1. 8

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.

  2. 9

    Add Topping

Brush the surface of the dough with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar evenly over it.

  3. 10

    Roll & Cut

Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other into a log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.

  4. 11

    Second Rise

Place the sliced rolls into a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise again for 30 minutes.

  5. 12

    Bake

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. 13

    Cool & Serve

Allow the rolls to cool slightly, then serve warm. Enjoy your classic rolls!
