  2. 2

    Prepare Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugar and Spices

In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, black pepper, and salt.

  4. 4

    Coat the Bacon

Dredge each slice of bacon in the sugar mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated.

  5. 5

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the coated bacon slices on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

  6. 6

    Bake the Bacon

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until crispy and caramelized.

  7. 7

    Baste with Bourbon

In the last 5 minutes of baking, drizzle the bourbon over the bacon for extra flavor.

  8. 8

    Cool the Bacon

Once done, remove from the oven and let the bacon cool on a wire rack.

Prepare the Sauce

  1. 9

    Melt Butter

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.

  2. 10

    Sauté Garlic

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

    Add Bourbon and Sugar

Pour in the bourbon and brown sugar, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

  4. 12

    Stir in Soy Sauce

Add the soy sauce and hot sauce, mixing well.

  5. 13

    Simmer the Sauce

Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5-10 minutes until it thickens slightly.

  6. 14

    Add Black Pepper

Finish by adding black pepper to taste and remove from heat.
