Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar and yeast in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- 2
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) while the dough rises.
- 4
Roll Out the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Divide it into two equal portions for two pizzas. Roll each portion out on a floured surface to your desired thinness.
- 5
Add Toppings
Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Add your favorite toppings such as tomato sauce, cheese, vegetables, and meats.
- 6
Bake the Pizza
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy. Remove from oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.
