Prepare the Meatballs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, ricotta cheese, chopped mushrooms, minced garlic, beaten egg, bread crumbs, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.

Form the Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs
Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.

Prepare the Marinara Sauce
While the meatballs bake, heat the housemade marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.

Assemble the Dish
Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the marinara sauce and let them simmer for about 5 minutes.

In a serving dish, layer the meatballs and sauce, then top with shredded mozzarella and grated Pecorino Romano. Serve warm.
