Fries Ingredients
Method
Fries Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.
- 2
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch.
- 3
Drain and Dry
Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with a clean towel to remove moisture.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 6
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (if using) to taste.
- 7
Serve
Serve the fries hot as a side dish or snack with your favorite dipping sauce.
