Fish Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Make the Breading

In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and paprika. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.

  3. 3

    Coat the Fish

Dip each fish fillet first in the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with the flour and cornmeal mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Fish

Carefully place the coated fish fillets in the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Sandwich

Toast the burger buns lightly. On the bottom half, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the fried fish fillet, a slice of tomato, and a generous dollop of tartar sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
