Prepare the Pasta
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Add Cheeses and Seasoning
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the aged cheddar and half of the parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked penne pasta with the cheese sauce. Mix well to ensure the pasta is fully coated.

Prepare for Baking
Transfer the mac and cheese mixture into a deep dish baking pan. Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs evenly on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
