Method

Serve chilled bottle

  1. 1

    Chill (if needed)

If the bottle is not already chilled, place the sealed 16.9 oz (500 ml) bottle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or in an ice bucket for 20–30 minutes until cold to the touch.

  2. 2

Remove the chilled bottle from the refrigerator or ice bucket. Wipe the cap area with a clean cloth if necessary.

  3. 3

Hold the bottle upright and twist the cap counterclockwise to open. Pour directly from the bottle into a glass, tilting the glass slightly to reduce foam and preserve carbonation.

Optional garnish and serving

  1. 4

If using ice: add 3–4 ice cubes to a glass before pouring. Note that adding ice will dilute and cool the water more quickly.

  2. 5

If using a lemon wedge: run the wedge around the rim of the glass and drop it into the glass or squeeze lightly for a hint of citrus.

  3. 6

Serve immediately to preserve the bubbles. Reseal unused portion if desired by replacing the cap and refrigerating; consume within 24–48 hours for best carbonation.
