For the Union Caesar Salad

Prepare the Lettuce
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water, then dry using a salad spinner or by patting with paper towels. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

Combine Ingredients
In a large salad bowl, add the torn romaine, croutons, and grated Parmesan cheese.

Make the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the Caesar dressing, lemon juice, and black pepper. If using, chop the anchovy fillets and mix them into the dressing.

Toss the Salad
Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and toss well until everything is evenly coated.

Serve
Divide the salad into serving bowls and garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and black pepper if desired.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

Bake the Corn Bread
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish or skillet and smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the cornbread cool in the pan for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm alongside your Union Caesar Salad.
