Fish and Marinade

Method

Preparing the Fish

  1. 1

    Marinate the Fish

In a bowl, combine lime juice, minced garlic, fish sauce, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well mixed.

  2. 2

    Add Fish to Marinade

Place the white fish fillets in the marinade. Make sure the fish is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  3. 3

    Sear the Fish

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add a little oil to the pan. Remove fish from marinade and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from heat and flake into bite-sized pieces.

Assembling the Tacos

  1. 4

    Prepare Tortillas

Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

  2. 5

    Layer Taco Ingredients

On each tortilla, add a generous amount of shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and cucumber slices.

  3. 6

    Add Cooked Fish

Top the veggies with the flaked seared fish.

  4. 7

    Finish with Toppings

Drizzle Thai chili sauce over the fish, and sprinkle with fresh cilantro. Serve with lime slices on the side.
