Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Salmon

In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, fresh dill, salt, and black pepper. Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Grilling

  1. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, allow the coals to burn until they are covered with gray ash.

  2. 3

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Place the fillets skin-side down on the grill. Close the lid and cook for about 6-8 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 4

    Flip and Finish

Gently flip the fillets using a spatula and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve warm, garnished with lemon slices and fresh dill sprigs if desired.
