Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Broiler

Preheat your broiler to high heat. Ensure the oven rack is about 6 inches away from the heat source.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Fish

Rinse the Boston Scrod fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bread Crumb Mixture

  1. 3

    Mix the Bread Crumb Topping

In a bowl, combine the Italian bread crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 4

    Add Olive Oil

Drizzle the olive oil over the breadcrumb mixture and stir until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Top the Fish

Evenly sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of each Boston Scrod fillet, pressing it down slightly to adhere.

Broiling

  1. 6

    Broil the Fish

Place the baking sheet under the broiler. Broil for about 8-10 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the topping is golden brown.

Lemon Butter

  1. 7

    Prepare Lemon Butter

In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest.

  2. 8

    Serve

Drizzle the lemon butter over the broiled Boston Scrod before serving.
