Preparing the Fries

Cutting the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4-inch thick.

Soaking the Potatoes
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.

Frying the Potatoes
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the dried potato strips in batches, frying until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

While the fries are still hot, season them with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to taste.

Melting the Cheese
In the last 2 minutes of cooking the vegetables, place the sliced white American cheese on top of the mixture in the skillet. Cover to allow the cheese to melt.

Layering the Ingredients
On a serving platter, place a generous portion of the crispy fries. Top with the sliced Wagyu steak, then spoon the sautéed vegetable and melted cheese mixture over the top.
