Fries

Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Cutting the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4-inch thick.

  2. 2

    Soaking the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.

  3. 3

    Frying the Potatoes

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the dried potato strips in batches, frying until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Seasoning the Fries

While the fries are still hot, season them with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to taste.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 5

    Cooking the Wagyu Steak

Season the Wagyu steak with salt and black pepper. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.

  2. 6

    Sautéing the Vegetables

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions, mushrooms, and sweet bell peppers. Sauté until they are soft and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 7

    Melting the Cheese

In the last 2 minutes of cooking the vegetables, place the sliced white American cheese on top of the mixture in the skillet. Cover to allow the cheese to melt.

Assembling the Wagyu Fries

  1. 8

    Layering the Ingredients

On a serving platter, place a generous portion of the crispy fries. Top with the sliced Wagyu steak, then spoon the sautéed vegetable and melted cheese mixture over the top.

  2. 9

    Serving

Serve immediately while hot, garnishing with additional seasonings or herbs as desired.
