Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Turkey
If not using pre-cooked turkey, slow roast a turkey breast seasoned with salt and pepper until fully cooked. Allow it to rest before pulling into shreds.
- 2
Make the Stuffing
Prepare the handmade stuffing according to your favorite recipe or using store-bought stuffing, ensuring it is moist and flavorful.
- 3
Prepare the Cranberry Sauce
If using homemade cranberry sauce, ensure it is chilled and ready to spread on the sandwich. Store-bought cranberry sauce can be used as well.
Assemble the Sandwich
- 4
Slice the Hoagie Rolls
Take the hoagie rolls and slice them open lengthwise without cutting all the way through, creating a pocket for the fillings.
- 5
Layer the Ingredients
Spread mayonnaise on the inside of each hoagie roll. Start with a generous layer of pulled turkey, followed by a layer of stuffing, and top it off with cranberry sauce.
- 6
Season to Taste
Add salt and black pepper to taste, if desired. Close the sandwich gently.
Serving
- 7
Serve the Sandwich
Slice the assembled sandwiches in half and serve immediately, or wrap them in foil for a delicious on-the-go meal.
