Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm milk and granulated sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
Once the yeast is activated, add it to the flour mixture along with the melted unsalted butter and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.
- 4
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 5
First Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Shaping and Baking
- 6
Shape Rolls
After the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
- 7
Arrange in Baking Dish
Place the shaped rolls in a greased baking dish, arranging them close together to allow for rising. Cover with a towel and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- 8
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 9
Prepare Topping
Melt the remaining unsalted butter and brush it over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle rosemary salt on top.
- 10
Bake
Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
