Method
Preparing the Burger
- 1
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the thick-cut bacon until crispy. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
- 2
Form the Patty
In a mixing bowl, gently shape the ground beef into a patty, about 1-inch thick. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3
Cook the Patty
In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high and cook the beef patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
- 4
Melt the Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of aged gouda cheese on top of the patty and cover the skillet to help it melt.
- 5
Assembling the Burger
- 6
Prepare the Buns
Lightly toast the brioche buns in the skillet until golden.
- 7
Spread the Aioli
Spread a generous amount of black garlic aioli on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
- 8
Layer the Ingredients
Place the cooked patty with melted gouda on top of the aioli, followed by the crispy bacon and roasted onions.
- 9
Finish the Burger
Top with the other half of the toasted brioche bun and press down gently.
