Chicken Marinade
Lemon Herb Sauce
Method
Marinating the Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well blended.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Add the boneless, skinless chicken breasts to the marinade. Ensure each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Place the chicken breasts on the hot grill. Cook for 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- 5
Rest the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Making the Lemon Herb Sauce
- 6
Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a medium bowl, mix together chopped parsley, chopped basil, lemon zest, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
