Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Seasonal Vegetables

Method

Filet Mignon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the filet mignon from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the filet with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and fresh rosemary.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the filet mignon and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer to your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks. Place them in a pot of salted water and boil until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 6

    Cook the Garlic

In the last 5 minutes of boiling, add the garlic cloves to the pot.

  3. 7

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and garlic, then return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 8

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and cut the carrots and asparagus into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 9

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the carrots and asparagus, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender.
