For the Artichoke

Method

Preparing the Artichoke

  1. 1

    Thaw Artichokes

Place the frozen artichoke hearts in a bowl of cold water and let them thaw for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Sauté Artichokes

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Add Artichokes

Add the thawed artichoke hearts to the skillet. Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly browned.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese and Parsley

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Set aside.

Making the Sauce

  1. 5

    Melt Butter

In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. 6

    Add Cream and Broth

Once the butter is melted, whisk in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  3. 7

    Mix in Capers and Mustard

Stir in the drained capers and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and black pepper. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

Combining and Serving

  1. 8

    Combine Artichokes and Sauce

Pour the cream sauce over the sautéed artichokes in the skillet. Stir well to combine everything.

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired. Enjoy your Don Ciccio C3 Carciofo!
