Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Wash the lettuce and tomato. Slice the tomato into thin rounds and the onion into thin slices. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the hickory-smoked, honey-cured bacon until crispy. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

Assemble the Sandwich

  1. 3

    Spread the Mayonnaise

Take one slice of whole wheat bread and spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly on one side.

  2. 4

    Layer the Ingredients

On the mayonnaise-spread side of the first slice of bread, layer the slow-roasted turkey followed by the prosciuttini peppered ham.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese and Veggies

Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of the meats. Then add the lettuce leaf, followed by slices of tomato and onion.

  4. 6

    Top with Bacon

Crumble the crispy bacon over the veggies.

  5. 7

Finish with Another Slice of Bread

Take another slice of bread and spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side. Place this slice, mayonnaise side down, on top of the bacon.

  6. 8

    Complete the Sandwich

Finally, add the last slice of bread on top without mayonnaise, creating a three-layered sandwich.

Serving

  1. 9

    Slice and Serve

Using a sharp knife, cut the sandwich diagonally into halves or quarters. Serve immediately with a side of chips or a pickle.
