Add Spices
Stir in the ground cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and ginger. Cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant.

Combine Ingredients
Return the lamb shanks to the pot. Add the chicken broth, prunes, and honey. Bring to a simmer.

Slow Cook
Cover the pot and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender and falling off the bone.

Toast Almonds
In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the slivered almonds until golden brown. Set aside.

Cook Basmati Rice
In a separate pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add the basmati rice and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is fluffy.

Serve
Serve the lamb tajine over the basmati rice, garnished with toasted almonds.
