Marinade and Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation and Cooking Steps

  1. 1

    Marinate the Fish

In a bowl, combine harissa paste, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Rub the mixture all over the branzino, including inside the cavity. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Rice

Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice with 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.

  3. 3

    Grill the Fish

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the marinated branzino on the grill. Grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and has nice grill marks. During the last few minutes of grilling, add lemon slices on top of the fish.

  4. 4

    Sauté the Spinach

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the spinach and sauté until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once the fish is grilled and the spinach is sautéed, serve the branzino alongside the basmati rice and sautéed spinach. Enjoy your meal!
