Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix the aji panca paste, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Rub the marinade all over the wagyu bavette steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Bell Pepper

While the steak is marinating, slice the bell pepper into strips and set aside.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the wagyu bavette for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain, serve with bell pepper strips, and garnish with fresh black mint leaves.
