Method
Filling Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and crab meat. Mix until well blended.
- 2
Add Seasonings
Add the finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir until everything is evenly incorporated.
Assembling Wontons
- 3
Prepare Wonton Wrappers
Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the crab filling in the center of each wrapper.
- 4
Seal the Wontons
Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper over to create a triangle and press the edges firmly to seal. Ensure there are no air pockets.
Frying Wontons
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Wontons
Carefully place the sealed wontons in the hot oil, a few at a time, without overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- 7
Drain and Serve
Remove the wontons from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
