Method

Sides Preparation

  1. 1

    French Fries

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Cut potatoes into sticks and rinse in cold water. Pat dry, then fry in batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt to taste.

  2. 2

    Garden Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, and shredded carrots. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Toss gently and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Onion Rings

Slice onions into rings and soak in buttermilk for 30 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, and spices. Dredge the soaked onion rings in the flour mixture, then fry in hot oil until golden, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Coleslaw

In a bowl, mix shredded cabbage, carrots, and green onions. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Pour dressing over slaw, mix well, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Drinks Preparation

  1. 5

    Soda

Chill soda in the refrigerator or serve over ice in a glass. Add a slice of lime or lemon for extra flavor, if desired.

  2. 6

    Iced Tea

Brew tea bags in boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove bags and let cool. Pour over ice and sweeten to taste. Garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves if desired.

  3. 7

    Lemonade

Mix freshly squeezed lemon juice, water, and sugar in a pitcher. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

  4. 8

    Water

Simply serve chilled or at room temperature in a glass. Optionally, add cucumber or mint for a refreshing twist.
