Fries

Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Bake the Fries

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen French fries evenly on a baking sheet. Drizzle with vegetable oil and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss to coat the fries evenly.

  2. 2

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through cooking.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the diced onion, sliced mushrooms, and diced sweet bell peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are softened.

  2. 4

    Cook the Plant-Based Beef

Add the plant-based ground beef to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Sprinkle with paprika and chili powder. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, breaking apart the beef as it cooks, until heated through.

Assembling the Dish

  1. 5

    Top the Fries

Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven. Immediately sprinkle the cooked plant-based beef and vegetable mixture over the fries.

  2. 6

    Add Cheese

Top with shredded white American cheese. You can return the loaded fries to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese if desired.

  3. 7

    Serve

Remove from oven and serve hot. Enjoy your Impossible Fries!
