Hummus Preparation

Prepare the Chickpeas
Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water. Set aside.

Adjust Consistency
If the hummus is too thick, add more water, one tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
Za'atar Topping

Mix Za'atar Oil
In a small bowl, mix the za'atar spice with olive oil to create a paste. Set aside.

Lavosh and Focaccia Preparation

Make the Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and olive oil. Gradually add warm water, mixing until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape the Lavosh and Focaccia
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out a portion of dough into a thin sheet for lavosh. Place the rolled lavosh on a baking sheet. For focaccia, shape another portion into a thicker rectangle and place on a baking sheet.

Bake
Bake the lavosh for 8-10 minutes until crispy and golden. Bake the focaccia for 15-20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
