Method

Turkey Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Turkey

Rub the whole turkey with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Make sure to coat it evenly.

  3. 3

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 2 to 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the turkey with BBQ sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking.

Mixed Greens Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the mixed salad greens, halved cherry tomatoes, corn, and black beans. Toss gently to mix the ingredients.

Crispy Cheddar Onions Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Onions

In a bowl, soak the thinly sliced onions in buttermilk for about 30 minutes.

  2. 6

    Coat the Onions

Mix the flour and salt in a separate bowl. Remove the onions from the buttermilk and coat them in the flour mixture.

  3. 7

    Fry the Onions

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the coated onion slices in batches until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 8

    Add Cheese

Once the onions are fried, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top while they are still hot so it can melt slightly.

Chipotle Ranch Dressing Preparation

  1. 9

    Mix the Dressing

In a small bowl, combine ranch dressing, chopped chipotle peppers, lime juice, and cilantro. Stir well until all ingredients are blended.
